The Casino Is Still There, Just Under a Different Name
If you are looking for the Aspers Casino Newcastle sign up, it is worth knowing what actually changed. The casino is still inside The Gate on Newgate Street, NE1 5TG, operating on the same floors with the same poker room in place. The difference is branding. We now trade as Bally’s Casino Newcastle, and the loyalty scheme that replaced Aspers World is called Bally Rewards. That is the programme you join today.
Access to the gaming floor itself stays free. You can walk in without paying anything at the door and without holding a membership, but you will be asked for valid ID if you look under 25. Joining Bally Rewards is voluntary, however it is the only route to earning points, getting on to venue promotions, and using any parking validation connected to The Gate car park.
How the Sign Up Actually Works
Registration for Bally Rewards happens in the building. There is no online workaround for this at the moment - you come into the venue, go to the loyalty desk or reception, and we register you face to face. Bring original photo ID with you. A passport or photo driving licence works; that is what our team will expect to see. If you appear under 25, the Challenge 25 approach means staff will ask for ID at the earliest point, even before you reach the desk.
The actual sign-up is usually quick. A member of our team will give you a short form, you write in your details, we may take your photo for the system, and you leave with a physical Bally Rewards card the same visit. As soon as you receive it, the card is ready for use on the gaming floor.
In practice, a first visit often looks something like this:
- Check you have your ID with you before leaving home. It avoids a wasted trip back.
- Travel to The Gate, Newgate Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 5TG.
- Use the main Newgate Street entrance and take the escalator up to the casino level.
- Present your ID at the door if our door team request it under Challenge 25.
- Take a look around the floor freely - you do not need a card simply to enter or to start playing.
- When you decide to join, head over to the loyalty or reception desk and ask to be added to Bally Rewards.
- Complete the registration form and collect your Bally Rewards card there and then.
- Start using the card on your very first gaming session, so your points balance begins straight away.
There is also a second entry point on Stowell Street in Chinatown, which can be more convenient if you are walking from the west side of the city centre. It leads you into the same venue, just from a different direction.
If You Were Already an Aspers World Member
For players who used to hold an Aspers World card here, your existing account was not wiped. Your points balance moved across to Bally Rewards automatically, and your status tier did as well. You are not required to register again or build your level from zero. Instead, you simply come in, go to the loyalty desk, confirm your details with the team, and collect your new Bally Rewards card.
The whole changeover was set up specifically so that our regular visitors did not lose accumulated points or status. New customers visiting now will not see Aspers World mentioned anywhere during sign up. You join Bally Rewards from the first day, as this is the current and active loyalty programme.

One practical thing we always suggest before any casino visit, including ours: carry the original ID document, not just a phone image or photocopy. Our staff are required to inspect the physical passport or driving licence, and a screenshot on your mobile will not be accepted for entry or registration.
